The Keep India Smiling Foundational Scholarship and Mentorship Programme strives to provide foundational support to eligible and meritorious persons who lack the wherewithal to pursue their aspirations. Along with cash assistance, the program will provide mentorship and career coaching to participants as needed.

Keep India Smiling Foundational Scholarship & Mentorship Programme for Class 11 2022-23

Eligibility

  • Must have passed Class 10 board examination in 2022
  • Must be enrolled in Class 11 at a recognized school in India
  • Must have scored at least 75% in Class 10 board exams
  • Annual family income should be less than INR 5 Lakhs

Benefits

  • INR 20,000 per annum for 2 years

  • Photograph in passport size
  • Income Evidence – Income certificate/BPL certificate/Food security certificate/Any other certificate of income given by competent government authority Valid ID proof – Either Aadhaar Card/Driving License/Voter Id Card/Pan Card
  • Fee Receipt/Admission Letter/College ID card/Bonafide certificate for Class 10
  • In the event of a physical handicap, a disability certificate is required.

  • A minimum of 60% in Class 12 board exams is required.
  • Must be enrolled in a three-year graduate program at a recognized Indian institution.
  • Annual family income should not exceed INR 5 lakhs.

  • INR 30,000 per year for 3 years

Eligibility

  • In 2022, you must have passed the Class 12 board exam.
  • A minimum of 60% in Class 12 board exams is required.
  • You must be enrolled in any recognized professional category (B.E./B.Tech/BDS/MBBS/Others).
  • Annual family income should not exceed INR 5 lakhs.

Benefits

  • INR 30,000 per annum for 4 years

Keep India Smiling Foundational Scholarship & Mentorship Programme: Terms and Conditions

Please read the below-mentioned terms and conditions carefully before submitting the application form: –
  • The ‘Keep India Smiling Foundational Scholarship Programme’ (hence ‘the Scholarship Program’) is run by Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd. (“Colgate” / “Company”). It is open to Indian nationals only from August 5, 2022, to March 31, 2023 (“Scholarship offer term”).
  • Individuals/candidates from economically disadvantaged backgrounds/below poverty levels are eligible for the Scholarship Program. The paperwork for the same will be as stipulated by statutory rules, and it is open to all interested candidates/individuals who have all of the required documents at the time of applying. The specifics of the Scholarship Program’s categories, qualifying criteria, and privileges are presented below.
  • It is the candidate’s sole obligation to review the categories and accompanying eligibility criteria listed below and apply for the appropriate category.
  • The registration data will not be used for any commercial reasons other than for shortlisting candidates for the Scholarship Program.
  • Meeting the eligibility requirements and submitting an application for the Scholarship Program does not guarantee selection. The procedure includes several steps for shortlisting and final selection, which could take several months.
  • Colgate will not react to any correspondence regarding the candidates’ non-selection.
  • After being chosen for the Scholarship Program, the candidate/individual will be contacted by Colgate/the technology implementation partner.
  • Relevant supporting documentation will be required before / on or after the applicable scholarship amount is allocated. The Scholarship Program for a given category will only be available for the time period specified for that category.
  • Colgate reserves the right to do internal due diligence on the papers uploaded by the candidate.
  • Colgate maintains the right, in its sole discretion, to (a) reject or disqualify any application; or (b) alter, suspend, terminate, or cancel the scholarship, subject to any written orders from a regulatory authority; or (c) adjust the program-based learning; as necessary.
  • If at any point time during the period of scholarship or even later it is found that any of the particulars mentioned in the form are/were false and/or misleading or that the candidate has willfully suppressed any material facts, Colgate will be at liberty to withdraw the scholarship allotted to such candidate.
  • The Scholarship Program shall be evaluated at regular intervals by Colgate and terms and conditions thereof may be modified, withdrawn, or canceled at the discretion of the selection panel of the Keep India Smiling Foundational Scholarship Programme and the CSR committee of Colgate.
  • The candidate hereby acknowledges that Colgate does not commit or intend to employ any of the successful candidates.
  • No candidate or Individual has to pay any registration or application fee for applying to the Scholarship Program. No purchase of Colgate products is mandatory for participating in the Scholarship Program.
  • Colgate reserves the right, to use the photograph /profile of the scholarship applicant/beneficiary for future publication use; and/or disclosures; and/or for communication purposes with Colgate’s stakeholders; and/or for submissions before various authorities and interested parties from time to time for reporting progress thereof; and/or for use in corporate brochures, websites, social media, archives, and other material publicity, if any in relation to its activities without any monetary compensation payable to any applicant and without any restriction to its frequency and use.
  • Colgate would not be liable or held responsible for any lack or lapse in any communication on account of failure or delay by internet, telecom, SMS, and/or E-mail service providers. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
  • Employees of the Company, its affiliates, and their family members are not eligible to participate in the Scholarship Program.
  • The decision of the Company with regard to the Scholarship Program and the declaration of the winners is final and binding.
  • Disputes; if any, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai only.

The candidates are required to upload the following documents:

  • Passport-sized photograph
  • Valid ID proof – Either Aadhaar Card/Driving License/Voter Id Card/Pan Card
  • Income Proof – Income certificate/BPL certificate/Food security certificate/Any other certificate of income issued by competent government authority.
  • 10th Class mark sheet
  • The latest mark sheet and education certificate
  • Fee Receipt/Admission Letter/College ID card/Bonafide certificate (in case admission for the professional course already taken)
  • Entrance examination result (In case seeking to take admission)
  • Disability certificate, in case of any physical disability
  • Scanned copy of highest performance achieved (If applying for Sports Scholarship)
  • Name & Registration no. of NGO/Rotary/Association/ Not for profit (If applying for general financial support category)
